THE ASSOCIATION FOR CHILDREN WITH LANGUAGE, SPEECH AND HEARING IMPAIRMENTS OF NAMIBIA

Project Overview

The Association for Children with Language, Speech and Hearing Impairments of Namibia (CLaSH) is based in Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city. CLaSH was formed in 1989 as a self-help group for parents. It has since become a well-respected service provider, registered as charitable organization with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (WO 70).

The mission is:

• to facilitate development towards equal opportunities for children with language, speech and hearing impairments

• to ensure equal access to education, training and all other facilities

CLaSH believes in an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to service provision, seeking close cooperation with Government ministries, non-governmental organizations and private businesses.
