PUPKEWITZ FOUNDATION OPEN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Project Overview

The Pupkewitz Foundation Open Athletics Championships is a developmental sport initiative grounded in the firm belief that Namibians are an exceptionally talented nation, and it provides opportunities for our youth to excel.

The Pupkewitz Foundation Open Athletics Championship brings international coaches in track and field, as well as international athletes to take part in a training camp as a developmental initiative. This includes 250 athletic learners from different regions, who would not normally have access to high level coaching and competitive sport.  Precursor to this in 2017, we added the Open Athletics Championships attracting competition from the SADC region. During this event Breyton Poole, under 18 World Champion, broke the outdoor and indoor high jump record.
